Silly Putty
A.)
2 Cups Elmers washable school glue (two 7 5/8 oz. bottles)
1 ½ cups water
B.)
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon Borox (detergent booster)
C.)
Food coloring (if desired)
Mix “A” in a big
bowl. Mix “B” in a small cup until
dissolved.
Pour “B” into “A” and stir with a large spoon. A chemical reaction will cause “B” to clump
together with part of the “A” mixture.
Lift the putty mixture clump out with your hands and drain
(let drip) over the bowl.
Knead putty, adding a few drops of food coloring and store
in an air tight container.
Make another “B” mixture and add to leftovers of “A” two or
three more times till “A” mixture is gone.
Wonderful texture! Hours of fun! Flatten putty on the
counter, insert straws and blow big bubbles!
Keeps up to 6 weeks in a covered container.
